CZII – CryoET Object Identification

Understanding protein complexes in their cellular environment—like oxygen-carrying hemoglobin in red blood cells— is essential for advancing disease treatment. Cryo-electron tomography (cryoET) creates stunning 3D images at near-atomic detail, allowing us to gain valuable insights into protein interactions within their dynamic natural environment.

In this competition, you’ll develop models to automatically annotate five classes of protein complexes within a curated real-world cryoET dataset—an exciting step toward uncovering the secrets of the cell.

Your work will push the boundaries of biomedical research, accelerating discoveries that could improve health worldwide.

Good luck,

Dear colleagues!

The Institute for Problems of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine of NAS Ukraine and the Ukraine and Kharkiv Researchers Support Foundation are raising $29,000 to cover logistics for delivering modern equipment to the Institute's Shared Facility Center.

What to do to help?
Follow the link SUPPORT (state “Transporting the equipment” in the payment comment section).

Feel free to join the donation collection and please share this information with other colleagues and sponsors!

Each little donation is a powerful act of faith in our future.
From all of us, thank you for helping keep our dreams alive!
