Alignment with International and European Standards
The Institute for Problems of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine implements open science practices in accordance with key international and European documents, including:
- UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science (2021)
- Directive (EU) 2019/1024 on open data and the re‑use of public sector information
- Regulatory documents related to the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation “Horizon Europe”
- Other relevant international and national policies in the field of open science
These standards guide the Institute’s strategy for ensuring transparency, accessibility, and responsible use of scientific outputs.

Open access supports high‑quality training of postgraduate students and strengthens the Institute’s educational environment.
Institutional Repository
In line with the Concept for Implementing European Principles of Open Science in the NAS of Ukraine for 2024–2030, the institutional repository is considered a core component of open science infrastructure.
Scientific publications, preprints, research data, and metadata are deposited using Creative Commons (CC) public licenses, in compliance with:
- Articles 444, 1107, 1108 of the Civil Code of Ukraine
- Article 51 of the Law of Ukraine “On Copyright and Related Rights”
This ensures lawful and transparent dissemination of research outputs.
