HISTORY OF ESTABLISHING
The Library of the Institute for Problems of Cryobiology and Cryomedicine of the NAS of Ukraine was organized in January 1975. The specific topic of the Institute determined its collection, the basis of which was literature from the exchange funds of the libraries of the B.I. Verkin Institute for Low Temperature Physics and Engineering , the Kharkiv State Scientific Medical Library and the Kharkiv Korolenko State Scientific Library.
As of January 1, 2024, the library fund has 50,571 printed units.
ACTIVITY AREAS
The reference and bibliographic apparatus of the library is represented by encyclopedias, reference books, terminological and language dictionaries. The fund also comprises dissertations, theses abstracts, documents stored in microfilms and microfiches. The fund is constantly replenished with published papers of the Naukova Dumka and Akademperiodika publishing houses, etc. A comprehensive IRBIS library automated system is being implemented.
The IPCC library is linked to the V.I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. The electronic catalog is presented in the Catalogs of libraries of institutions of Ukraine section, which displays new book entries, periodicals, dissertations and their abstracts.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND AWARDS
The library staff was awarded a certificate from the Information and Library Council of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2017)

The area of the library is 100 m2. It consists of 2 rooms. One room is a subscription room and a reading room with 16 seats. The second room is a book depository. The library has 1 employee, but we have close ties with the Department of Scientific and Technical Information of the Institute of Information and Communication Technology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
COLLECTION SUBJECTS
The collection subjects are universal. Biological, medical sciences, pharmacology, chemical and physical sciences are most fully reflected.
